The Galing Pook Foundation, in partnership with SM Prime Holdings, Inc. and the Department of the Interior and Local Government - Local Government Academy, is now accepting applications for the 2025 Galing Pook Awards.

This year, the competition will exclusively be among barangays, as we endeavor to bring to the forefront outstanding local governance initiatives of the local government unit closest to the community--the barangay.

To qualify, programs must have been operational since November 2023 or earlier; must demonstrate the active involvement of the barangay LGU or show that its design and implementation utilized existing barangay governance mechanisms, regardless of whether it was initiated by the community, an NGO, CSO, or another LGU; and must have verifiable and significant results.
