Galing Pook Foundation serves as the Partnerships Coordinator of COLLABDEV.
It is an initiative led by the USAID and AER that is Coalescing Organizations towards Locally Led Actions to Boost Development (COLLABDev) is a partnership initiative of Action for Economic Reforms (AER) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to promote human-centered, data-driven development in the Philippines. We believe that by strengthening local coalitions and enhancing data capacities, local actors will have increased power to improve their own communities.
This is done by, first, collecting data that is timely, disaggregated, holistic and involves local actors to identify priorities. Second, ensuring data is accessible to all stakeholders: LGUs, academe, CSOs and the public.
Third, analyzing data to become valuable information, evidence and knowledge. Fourth, using the evidence produced as the basis for creating policies and programs.
Finally, through regular feedback, this process will lead to improved prioritization, mobilization and allocation of local resources for human development. Enabling this process are the use of state-of-the-art technology and the formation of strong partnerships.
